The second Release of SimPe is available in the download Section. I added some of the planed Features as listed below.
With this Version Package Handling (except for Bugfixes ) should be complete. Maybe I will implement a recompress feature in some Version sometime, but for the Moment, all Files will be added uncompressed to the package. However Sims 2 will recompress them anyway next time it saves.

As promised, here are the added Features:

• Packed File Properties (Type, Group, Instance) are editable now.
• Create new empty Package Files.
• Add arbitrary Files to an existing (or new) Package
• Delete Files form a Package
• Added an XML Handler, to dispaly XML Files
