Animations
The SimPE Animation Plugin (ANIM Wrapper) had a complete Rework, which will allow you to import / export Animations to / from Milkshape 3D Ascii Files.
It also enables you to manually edit the Animations of your Objects. You can change Transformations, add or delete keyframes or create/delete Animations for a given Joint.
The ObjectWorkshop will now pull ANIM resources correct, enabling you to creat cloned Objects with custom Animations.
Especially important for polishe SimPE users should be the new polish Translation (created by wlodi). As in the german Translation, not all Dialogs are translated.
You might notice, that the SimPE Setup is now available in two diffrent Version. The full Setup contains a german Translation of all Documentations (by Rado, as well as the english ones) making the Filesize grow above 5MB. Therefor we offer a "Light" Version of SimPE, which will neither include the Docs nor the classic GUI.
You can still get all the Documentations from our Forum or through Help->Tutorials in SimPE.
There are also a Number of Bugfixs included into this Release. Following is a complete List of Changes:
- Changed the look of the Mesh Import Dialog
- The ANIM Wrapper can now Display the stored Transformations ordered by Frames, so you can start testing how the parameters stored in an ANIM File affect an Animation. You can create/delete/clone new KeyFrames, add/delete Animation Joints, and manually edit all Transformations
- Option Parent Shrink: Selecting this Option has Various effects on the Animation. The most noticable is, that Transformation Parameters get divided by 16 when used in the Game (meaning a value of 1600 when Shrink is check is the same as a value of 100 without shrink checked)
- You can export/import animations to/from Milkshape 3D Ascii
- The Direct 3D Exception will now be handled by SimPE
- Thanks to Miche (check out his smd importer/exporter over at MTS2), I was able to get the scalings for the transformation Parameters right.
- SkinWorkshop, will now adjust all Texture References (inlcuding References to Normal Maps)
- When cloning an Object, ANIM Files will stay in the Global Group, which should make cloned Animations useable.
- Added a Sort Button the the TXMT Plugin, which will sort the Properties in alphabetic Order (of not in alphabetic Order, the Game will not find added Values!)
- Added the new Version of PLJones Plugins
- Relationships in the SDE are now sorted by Household and Name
- GUI will no longer process Inputs while the WaitingBar is visible!
- OW (windowed by default; dockable when the remove non defautl Languages Option is checked) will now remove non Default languages from the Text Resources. Fix Integrity will NOT do this for you!
- English Grades on Uni Tab of SDE go from 0 to 4 (all others from 1 to 5) now
- Swap of Female/Male Attraction on SDE
- Fixed the "self-loving" in the SDE Relation Editor (In advanced Mode you can set the sim to love itself)
- When exporting a Mesh to milkshape (this is true for a regular GMDC Export from the GMDC Plugin, so look out for conflicts there as well), SimPE will try to correct the exported initial Joint locations (Explained below) That should fix the axis Flip reported by Pinhead (only if Joint Correction was selected).
- The SubFunction Sort DropDown in the OBJd Wrapper works correct now
- Sorting to SubCategories in Dockable OW is working correct now (Hobbies did not have subCategories so far)
- Pulling Wallmask in OW will now scan all available NameMaps for assigned Wallmaks Files (as suggested by Numenor)
- Fixed Bug with the Sim Name Loader, which did not pull all Sim Names (it did leave Sims that were generated from Templates). Now almost all Names should show up again in Sim Browser…
- Fixed Bug when Saving ANIM Resources. Thanks a million times Pinhead for your Package, and for finding this Bug
- When Importing a Mesh without Bones, you can choose to use the Mesh Data as a Bounding Mesh (per Group, thanks to Pinhead)
- You can also define the Bounding Mesh in the Group Tab of the GMDC Plugin, or clear it on the Model Tab
- When Importing a Mesh Group, all Groups with the word "shadow" in the name, will get an default Opacity of 0×3 (which can be changed in the Import Dialog)
- "Unable to determin Version" Message was changed to be more expressive.
- When trying to save to a write-protected package, SimPE will refuse to save, hence reducing the probability of a corrupted package.
- SimPE will now proprly release the Filehandle when importing a Texture in the TXTR Wrapper (reported by SnowStorm)
- Made the code to notify Dockable/ActionTools about changes in resource Selection more efficient. That way it scales better when selecting a large number of Resources (something that could freez SimPe until now!)
- Fixed Bug when loading a big amount of Resources in the plugin View
- Included polish Translation of SimPE (created by wlodi)
