Long overdue, but finally done Version 0.50 is now fit for the Nightlife EP. We have tested all Resources whether they can be read and written correct with this Version, and so far there were no Problems.

But we did not only make existing Wrappers work with Nightlife; we also implemented some new useful features. Like the 3ds mesh importer/exporter created by Skankyboy.

The new SimPE GUI does now include a Plugin you can use to create and open .sims2pack Files. The dockable ObjectWorkshop will allow you to clone/recolor Neighborhood Objects (basically works like Recolor/Clone Fences). The extension of the Fence/Terrain Cloning Algorithm was suggested and improved by Numenor.

The SimPE FileTable (which basically is the Search path for SimPE, which is used to collect Resources needed to create Clones, Recolor or Decode Memories and other Data) can now be adjusted through an easy to use GUI (found in Extra->Preferences). This allows you to disable the inclusion of CEP Files, or the Files of Expansion Packs, having the Effect, that you can create Clones for the original Game, even though you have installed and configured an Expansion.

As you might have read, the new GUID-Database is now able to handle more than one GUID-Block per User; this change is now also reflected in the SimPE get GUID Dialog.
SimPE can finally decode the Character Names in University and Downtown Neighborhoods. If you want this feature, you have to enable the "Include Template" Options in Extra->Preferences->Scenegraph.

Besides those Major changes, there were countless Bugfixes and other smaller additions, which I don’t want to list here. If you are interested, you can have a look at the complete changelog over at Sourceforge.

All in all, I suggest to every SimPE user to upgrade to this Version, even if you do not have Nightlife installed. I also would like to remind everybody, that there is a new CEP Version available.
