Well, the time has come to discuss .NET 2.0 
So far SimPE is compiled agains .NET 1.1, so it does only run on machines that have the .NET 1.1 Framework installed. If you only had 2.0 available on your System, the only thing you got were error messages.
Even though Family Fun Stuff is basically just a bunch of new Objects and Clothes, it looks to SimPE like a complete Expansion Pack. That is why you got a Warning, that SimPE might not be able to handle the Files for this new EP.
Numenor has just released the new CEP 4.1 with Objects from the Family Fun Stuff Extension for the Sims 2. You can - as allways - download it directly from the official CEP Thread over at ModTheSims2, or our CEP Page.
